In Which Xavius Proves His Identity And There Is Little Further Direction For The Plot

Now I think about it, I don't think the Author ever really paid me anyway, so it doesn't make much of a difference, but still!

Author Notes:

My mouse battery ran out while I was doing the fourth panel. Drawing with a touchpad is hard.

So, um, yeah. Plotlines. Plotlines. Lines along which the plot may travel. Um.

plots based on lack of plot are useful on an occasional ad hoc basis but should not be the core of the...ummm.... plot.

cool name - will velocoraptor appear as the author's name on the next comic - the suspense is... sending me to sleep - good night.

You should only copy-paste the background of the panels, not the people. It just looks weird if you copy-paste the people. Maybe keep a bunch of template-pictures of the people so you have basic poses more easily, but the second-to-last panel here is weird because their mouths are open. Also, why did you stop the little tail-thingies on the speech bubbles?

Also, to resurrect the Author, try pushing:
up-up-down-down-left-right-left-right-B-A-Enter. On this site, that gives you a Wand of True Resurrection with 30 charges, and you can use that to bring back the Author.

If you don't do this, I want to know why.

'k, TGWGT. Now tell us how to actually use it.

I don't know, but it exists in-comic. Anyway, Xavius, didn't you say you have omnipotence now? Giving yourself an arbitrarily high Use Magic Device skill shouldn't be that hard.
From now on, I will be QWERTYSTOP, instead of varying titles referencing my previous posts.

Since this is the Author we're talking about, there's probably a metafictional reason why that won't work. Maybe omnipotence only extends to actions that advance the plot. Maybe author abilities are powered by narrativium, which needs to be replenished by advancing the plot. Maybe the Wand of True Resurrection exists, but none of us know where it is - since it can be accessed from any comic, I assume it exists outside the in-comic flow of time. Maybe Xavius has no idea how to use his omnipotence.

Heck, I'm not the Author. I have no idea how any of this stuff works.

Lack of plot? Just use Chandler's Law.

Where are all the updates? :(

This stuff is really difficult, okay? I'm working on it. The next page should go up in two or three months.

Well, at least the floor tiles stopped changing.

Xavius: Look, that's my name up in the corner. I am making this comic, gorramit.
Fred: Oh, so you are.

Jane: "Jones"? That's a really dull name.
Fred: You should change it.
Trope-tan: Xavius Velociraptor.

Fred: Okay, you are making the comic. Even so, why should we trust you? You're definitely that evil guy from before.
Xavius: Well, because if you don't trust me I'll just use omnipotence to make you trust me anyway.
I'm fairly certain I have omnipotence now.

Bob: This art is so ugly, it's like someone is pouring bleach into my eyes.
Jane: I have to agree. Why do the colours keep changing so crazily?
Xavius: It's hard to guess which colour I used in the previous panel when I'm doing the next one.

Fred: Try using the eyedropper tool.
Xavius: Oh, that works! Great!
Jane: Also, if you hold Control when you're dragging things around they snap to horizontal or vertical only.
Xavius: Ah, excellent.

Bob: Of course, all of those points are moot when you can just copy and paste the previous panel.
Xavius: Actually, that sounds a lot easier. I might just do that.
Trope-tan: For every single panel of every single page of every single storyline from now on?
Xavius: Yep. It could be like *Dinosaur Comics*.

Bob: That is quite possibly the worst idea I have ever heard.
Trope-tan: This panel has insufficient catgirls.
Xavius: Of course, it would help if I had the slightest idea regarding a plot to use with said panel.
