The hiatus ends as of this comic. Updates queued and ready for publishing. WotM returns, with hopes that you'll enjoy.

PROSE TIME. "Forsooth", "alas", and "alack" are very good words. One may even include them in the List of Awesome Words™. They're especially good when applied with no particular meaning just to provide an extra iamb.

Wait a second. HEY EBONY THE COMIC STARTED AGAIN YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE PROVIDING TITLE= TEXT BUT INSTEAD YOU ARE READING "And Another Thing" THE SIXTH BOOK OF THE HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE TRILOGY WRITTEN BY EOIN COLFER THAT IS PRETTY GOOD IN GENERAL AND IS PERHAPS A SUCCESSFUL ADDITION TO THE FRANCHISE BUT THE ENDING IS FAIRLY POOR AND DOES NOT SATISFACTORILY WRAP UP THE FRANCHISE WHAT IS UP WITH THAT okay, that should be fixed too.

that Ebony doesn't realise it's back. not entirely sure how the author can know what she is reading though.

Welcome back from the hiatus - good start!

The Author knows what she is reading because he lent her the book in the first place. Once he'd finished reading it. It's not bad, though a little coherent for a HitchHiker book, but some nice character development.
I think Mostly Harmless would have been a better conclusion to the franchise, on account of wrapping up a thread at the end that had been loose for two-and-a-half books.

Of course people talked in iambic pentameter in the past. Just like they wear sunglasses in the future.

(That was a short hiatus, comparatively speaking.)

forgot to catch up for over a month - still love that ebony is reading a book - and that the author loaned it to her, that's pretty awesome.

Transcript:

Trope-tan: Remember that *BuffyTheVampireSlayer* episode, *Nightmares*? It's weird because-
Jane: Yeah, I'm not getting drawn into another debate with you. Especially one about *Buffy*.

Jane: There's no way I can win against Miss Wiki-Founded-To-Categorise-Tropes-In-Buffy.
Trope-tan: Heh. That's actually a pretty good nickname.
Jane: I know, right?
past!Trope-tan: Alas, it's clear: my knowledge is too great.

Jane: ... why did you just speak in iambic pentameter?
Trope-tan: No idea! I can't remember these events happening the other way around!

past!Trope-tan: Forsooth, recall that I am from the past.
Trope-tan: Ah, of course. My *past* self. From the *past*.
That's how people spoke in the past, naturally.

Jane: Then why did you only start speaking like that just now?
past!Trope-tan: I too forgot the time from whence I came.
Alack, I now realise my mode of speech.
Jane: ... language does not work that way.

Jane: Did you always have been speaking in this way?
Trope-tan: Yeah, let's not even try for correct tense.
In any case, no. I have never spoken like that before. It's really weird.
past!Trope-tan: We must away to fix the plot, recall?

Trope-tan: ... actually, this phenomenon is really interesting and we should figure it out before handling the plot holes.
Jane: Perhaps my past!self shall respond in the same manner?
Trope-tan: Let us DO SCIENCE!
past!Trope-tan: Forsooth, I shall assist with this science!

Jane (imitating narrator): Once past!Jane had regained consciousness...
past!Jane: I too am speaking strange. Um, verily?
