MSTed - Learning To Hear

"Speech bubbles are visible and tangible objects. You can actually use a speech bubble as an effective slicing weapon. It causes +3 papercut damage." That sounds seriously unbalanced. A +3 weapon can be obtained simply by shouting "OBJECTION"? What's next? An unavoidable passageway of very toxic chlorine gas?

Bob: Jeez, I dunno how I lasted in the comic all that time...

Fred: The fact that you can't actually *get out* is probably why.
Joel: All that time? It's only been five pages...
Crow: Yes. Five horrible, horrible pages.

Bob: Great. I've climbed down into the next comic strip.

Trope-tan: Of course. If you'd actually escaped the comic, there wouldn't be anywhere for the rest of the plot to happen.
Jane: You're implying that there *is* a plot.

Crow: Wait, I should have determined the drop distance such that I could calculate the approximate damage dealAAAAaaaahh!
Jane: He probably made a Jump check to convert the second d6 to nonlethal damage.
Bob: What's a Jump check?
Jane: ... ah.

All: AAAAH!
Tom: Stop doing that.
Jane: Bob, *that* is a Jump check.

Bob: Just go away! I'm trying to find a way out of this comic!
Jane: Pardon?

Crow: So are we. Theatre doors were locked.
Joel: Perhaps we could unscrew that grate in the floor and crawl through the ventilation?

Bob: Oh, for heaven's sake! LOOK AT MY SPEECH BUBBLES!

Trope-tan: White elliptical bubble, pointed tail, Comic Sans text. What else was I supposed to look at?
Jane: Hmm. There's all these weird curly shapes on it... Let's see. Circle, line-and-arch, little curving-back thing...

Bob: Just go away! I'm trying to find a way out of this comic!

Fred: You sound like a broken record. WHIIRP! You sound like a broken record. WHIIRP! You sound like a broken record. WHIIRP!
Jane: Oh no, not *more* curly shapes! I wonder what they mean?

Jane: Oh! I know how to get out of this comic! Come this way!

All: AAAAH!
Tom: Bob, why must you do that so often? It's just not funny any more.
Bob: I'm easily surprised.
Crow: So much so that the revelation that your plan *worked* sends you into hysteria?
